GAL Provides Product Training

As part of our recent expansion, we added a nice training facility and would now like to have our customers take advantage of it. GAL is starting to fill up class room sessions to cover various GAL and Hollister Whitney products. Class times will get set in concrete based on demand. They will be held during the day and will include some food and refreshment.

New Redesigned SM Lock/Contact

GAL is announcing our "SM" (INT6-); "CSM" (SW13-) and "CDZ-3"(ZLK1-) series devices will be discontinued.

They will be replaced with our new "SN" series.

The new "SN" series devices are thinner at 1 11/16" (including cover) a full 3/8" thinner than the old "SM" series devices.

This allows for fitting in smaller locations.

GAL will be supplying an adaptor kit (SW21-9003N) with every "SN" series device ordered for the next year (until summer shutdown 2010).

Effective on all orders received after close of business on April 30th, 2008, GAL Manufacturing Corporation will implement a price increase. It has been well over four years since we last adjusted our prices, and although we have been very effective at keeping production costs down, we can no longer absorb the ever increasing cost of material.

Brennor to retire from GAL

GAL Manufacturing has announced that Florence Brennor, will retire as of Nov 1st, 2008. Referred to by all as simply Flo. Brennor has been an integral part of GAL for 55 years. She is known and loved by customers and co-workers alike. Herb and Walter Glaser issued a joint statement lauding Flo's incredible lifetime contribution, and referring to Flo as "The heart of GAL".

Doug Witham appointed as Chairman of EESF

The Elevator Escalator Safety Foundation held its annual meeting Friday, January 21, 2005 in Mobile, Al. Prior to meeting with the industry, the Board of Regents and their available alternates convened with EESF staff for a one-day meeting on January 20.
